New Pac-10 Commish open to playoffs?
March 24th, 2009
So says Jack Carey of USA Today in today’s news.
The incoming commissioner of the Pacific 10 Conference said Tuesday he wants to keep an open mind about the possibility of expanding college football’s postseason.
I’m not sure it’d be possible for the Pac-10 to hire anyone more anti-playoffs than departing commissioner Tom Hansen. The new hire, Larry Scott, could prove to be an important factor in the move toward playoffs as the Pac-10 has been staunchly anti-playoffs until now.
Here’s to hoping for the best.
