WeDemandPlayoffs.com is going postal

March 10th, 2009

The original intent of this site was to make it easy for college football fans to contact all the power players and decision makers in college football in an attempt to bring about a playoff system. The idea is that if we, the fans, apply enough pressure and let people know loudly enough that we really-really-really want playoffs, perhaps we’ll actually get them.

Sure, we’ll continue to get excuse after excuse about how it’s “bad” for the game or the student athletes, but eventually those ridiculous arguments will dry up.

We started out collecting contact information for Athletic Directors, School President’s, Conference Commissioners, Senators and Governors, and publishing it here on the site. After collecting contact information for only two schools, it was decided our system wasn’t going to be effective enough. So we’ve beefed up efforts and are currently building a BCS Killer Engine, of sorts, that will allow a fan to send emails to officials associated to his or her favorite team all at once. Sounds much easier than emailing everyone individually, right?

So keep an eye out. We’re going to publish our BCS Killer machine soon and you’ll be able to really annoy the hell out of your leaders until they actually start to listen and force a change. Lord knows they’ve annoyed us enough with all their “playoffs are impractical/bad idea” excuses.

We demand playoffs, damnit!
